Tying a fly called Alda

Tutorial by Ívar’s Fly Workshop

Here we will be tying the fly Alda by Helgi V. Úlfsson. The fly is a great option for lake fishing, especially in the Veiðivötn region in the highlands of Iceland. The fly works very well up there and I presume it would work in other lakes as well when it comes to fishing for the ice-age brown trout we have here in Iceland. The fly is simple to tie and totally worth it to keep a few in your box when go fishing for brownies.
