Here we will be tying the Blac and blue, a salmon fly that is a great option for midsummer salmon fishing. The fly is one of the top 5 flies in Norðurá river, and it’s a really good fly to scan spots with as well. The fly catches salmon and even sea trout and is simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when go fishing.

Thread: 8/0 UNI black.
Rib: Oval gold tinsel.
Butt: Oval gold tinsel.
Tail: Golden pheasant crest.
Body: Flat silver tinsel.
Wing: Black squirrel.
Hackle: Royal blue cock feather.
Head: Black.
