Rainbow Rush

SPECIES:
Rainbow Trout

May 2024

ABOUT THE IMAGE: “Rainbow Rush” is an underwater photograph of rainbow trout in a Montana creek.

My favorite image of 2024, “Rainbow Rush” depicts the frenzy of the spawning season. So many trout in close quarters, swimming and looking for a mate, endlessly searching, fighting, protecting, and the work of spawning. This image gives a new meaning to “swimming with the fishes”.
