Day 52 - Brook Trout and Kokanee

Before winter sets in, brook trout and kokanee salmon frolicked in the final days of the spawn.

Photographed in early December, ice covered much of the lake, leaving the spawning beds open.

The brook trout will return next year to these waters, while this is the final chapter in the Kokanee salmon's life.
