Day 5 – 356 Days of Trout

BROWNS ON REDD
I came across a spawning pair of brown trout in a small side channel in my home waters of Rock Creek in Western Montana.
I frightened them at first (accidentally), then set my camera and waited. They returned rather quickly as they were on a mission.
The female (right) is a typical-looking Rock Creek brown, while I suspect her handsome mate is a Clark Fork brown. This location is about 2 miles from the confluence of the waters.
