Day 46 - The Redd Sweeper

A female rainbow trout sweeps the rocks and gravel to create a spawning bed or redd.

She pushes away the small stones to make a small nest-like area in the creek bed where she will lay her eggs. 

A male will join her to add his milt to her redd, and the fertilized eggs will hatch in 3 to 7 weeks, depending on water temperature.
