Day 43 – 356 Days of Trout

Day 43 - Deep Water Brown

A brown trout shelters partially under a boulder in a deep pool. 

I knew trout hid under a large, submerged boulder in my home waters of Rock Creek. I had seen them dart under the rock numerous times.

But the pool was deep, and my best months to photograph are the winter months. So I rigged the camera, pressed timelapse, lowered it into place, and hoped to discover what the hiding spot and its residents looked like.
