Day 292 - Meet Notch

This is why I call her Notch. She has a scalloped notch out of her tail.

A mature female rainbow trout, she lives by the root ball with her best friend, the cutthroat I call 'Saffron.'

The girls could be found together quite often. They would rest, feed, and sun themselves together.

They have been lost to me since the river changed course two seasons ago.
