Day 276 - Heavy Load

She carries a heavy load. Up the small stream, through the skinny water, and past the watchful eyes of the eagles.

She carries her load of eggs as far as the stream allows.

There, she will lay them in the gravel and then return to deeper waters.

She will never know if her offspring survive.
