The stark daylight of early winter casts a cold light on a male rainbow trout.

See the scuff mark below his eye gill on his gill plate?

And another scuff that stripped off some scales further down his body.

Other than those marks, he's in great shape for his age.

His jaw is perfect so he must have avoided humans or they were gentle with him.
