Day 216 – 356 Days of Trout

Day 216 -Eggs Everywhere

Just a swish of the rainbow trout's tail sends eggs whirling in their underwater nest.

These eggs probably belong to another trout who left after spawning.

I'm guessing a new female moved in and now is cleaning a redd for her nest.

What will become of these eggs? I do not know.

If exposed to current, they may settle in a slow water pool where silt could suffocate them.
