Day 21 - Browns of the Hidey-Hole

A November gathering of brown trout is typical in pools of my favorite Western Montana rivers.

Not all males earn the right to spawn; only the big, handsome bucks win the ladies. 

I've witnessed brown trout spawning on my home water from early October through nearly the end of December.
