Day 126 – 356 Days of Trout

Day 126 - Choosing The Spot

A pair of brook trout cruise the shoreline to find the perfect spot for their redd.

Once she chooses, she will sweep the debris and silt from the spot that will become her redd or nest.

He will guard her and the redd while she lays her eggs.

Then, when she allows, he will release his milt over the eggs in the redd.
