Barely Legal Fly Tying Tutorial
Matthew Quintanilla leads the Fly Tyer’s Round Table at the Rock Creek Mercantile and teaches the group how to tie streamer pattern the “Barely Legal.”
The fly is relatively simple to tie with a repeating theme of white marabou, olive marabout, and white sparkle material behind a tungsten cone on a streamer hook.

What is the Fly Tyer’s Round Table?
Every Saturday, beginning in January and going through March, fly tyer’s gather to tie flies, learn a new pattern, and chat about fishing while waiting on spring at the Rock Creek Fisherman’s Mercantile, Rock Creek, Montana.
We are fly tyers too! And while we absolutely prefer to support local fly shops, sometimes it can be hard to find the products we mention in our videos and blog posts. I’ve discovered them online for you at Amazon.
